I have worked at Airport Animal Hospital for just short of one year as a veterinary assistant. Growing up I have always had companion animals and have experienced many of their different personalities and traits that have shaped my understanding of animal health and welfare. As domesticated pet owners, we need to be patient, kind, and loving towards our companions to allow the animal's true nature to show.
I graduated from Laurentian University in 2019 with a BSc. Zoology, and am continuing the application process for veterinary medicine at Guelph. Unfortunately, I was not accepted for my first application, though I will keep applying in the coming years to pursue my dream.
My veterinary interests include internal medicine and infectious disease. I have had the privilege to assist in nursing back to health many animals. The best feeling pertaining to my job is when the animal is back to health and is introduced back to the owner. It is the most satisfying feeling to know that the animal can go back to living its best life surrounded by loving people.
